Drake professors to host free generative AI virtual event

Join ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ professors Chris Porter and Chris Snider for , a holiday-themed virtual overview to recent developments in generative artificial intelligence tools.
Whether you are new to generative AI or a seasoned veteran, this event is for you.
Topics will include:
- New features of LLM tools such as ChatGPT with Canvas and computer use with Claude, the potential plateau of LLM abilities, and the latest movement in the chatbot leaderboard.
- On the multimedia side, we will discuss updates to the Midjourney editor, new Ideogram features and Meta’s new AI video tool.
This virtual event is free and open to the public, so put on your holiday PJs and join the fun.
Chris Porter is the director of the artificial intelligence program at ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ and an associate professor of computer science. Chris Snider is an associate professor in the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
